NEW MUSIC: CROSSTREET – ”DEPEND ON YOU” || @de_crossTreet
Portharcourt based Christian Rock Band, Crossstreet has released their debut single titled ”I Depend On You”, off their soon to be released debut album ”The Yearning”.
As people are going through various challenges in the World, it became obvious that the only one who can help us is God. And it will demand total trust in Him. “…By strength shall no man prevail”, so if we can depend on Him wholly for answers and deliverance, He will definitely show up. He always does.
Jesus wants us to rely on Him for everything. Not just the hard stuff, not just when weâre afraid, but all the time. Because if it werenât for Jesus, we wouldnât have the eternal hope that we have. He gave us life, so we really do rely on Him for everything!

LYRICS
Your Mercy never fails
I trust in you
What you say you will do
Iheikuru geme
When they turned their backs on me
and rejoiced in my pain
You rose up
And put them all in shame
Thank you for loving me
For hearing me when I call you
Oh God atukwa sirimgi obi
Chimo agabigalamo
Chijindumo atukwa sirimgi obi
You’re the strength of the weak
In distress is you i seek
When all I hope is gone
and there’s no song to sing
When all lights fades out
In you Lord i will trust
Chi nwendum o
You will be my light
Onye na zam ekpere
Ebube injieme onu
Atukwa sirimgi obi
Igagiarari pum o
Chimo agabigalam o
Chijindumo atukwa sirimgi obi
I depend on You
I depend on You
Artiste Bio
CrossTreet started as a band in 2014, with two singers and five musicians. It was at that time known as For-Soul. In the year 2017, CrossTreet became the new name of the group, with a total number of ten members, namely, two guitarists, Segun Akingba and Maurice Wright; a bassist, Kelechi Anele; a keyboardist, Div Kelly; a drummer, Josh John; and four singers, Siv Adoks, Eddy Abraham, Stacy Baldwin, and Destiny Abraham.
After a close look at the trending music style of our time, where everyone is sounding alike, with almost the same message, and gospel music in Africa no longer having relevance to the needs of the society, we wanted to be different because we are, and we believe in excellence.
We had to come up with our sound. We needed to take the gospel of Jesus Christ, via Music, to the lost and hopeless in the street and to the world at large, with the language they understand.
*Genre:* CrossTreet is a Rock Band currently based in Nigeria.

GOODNEWS DEVOTIONAL. THURSDAY, 7TH OF JUNE 2018 FEED YOUR FAITH AND YOUR FEAR WILL DIE
TEXT: ROMANS 10:17
“So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God”
The thoughts of failure and disappointments have been the major reasons many people have not been able to walk by faith. The thoughts like “what if I fail, what if it does not work out” Now, anyone that allows thoughts like these in his/her mind will never walk by faith. Thoughts like these increase your fear and decrease faith. And you know, you cannot walk by fear and walk by faith at the same time, so in order to walk by faith, you must be ready to kill your fear and for you to kill your fear, you must feed your faith. When your faith is fed, your fear will die.
This is the point that today’s text is saying “So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God”. This means faith will keep increasing when we keep hearing and hearing the word of God. It also means fear will keep decreasing when you keep hearing and hearing the word of God. If you have been having problems taking the steps of faith, it simply means you have been feeding your fear instead of your faith. You have been listening to those who are negative.
That was the problem of the Israelites in Deuteronomy 1:28 “Where can we go up? Our brethren have discouraged our hearts, saying, âThe people are greater and taller than we; the cities are great and fortified up to heaven; moreover we have seen the sons of the Anakim thereâ. The God who delivered them from Egypt had asked them to go forward to Canaan, the land that was flowing with milk and honey, but they could not because they were afraid. And this fear came as a result of what their brethren were telling them daily.
However, for their fear to die, Moses had to feed their faith. In Deuteronomy 1:29-32 Moses said âThen I said to you, âDo not be terrified, or afraid of them. The Lord your God, who goes before you, He will fight for you, according to all He did for you in Egypt before your eyes, and in the wilderness where you saw how the Lord your God carried you, as a man carries his son, in all the way that you went until you came to this place’. Moses also kept telling them this and their fear left. This is simple, stop listening to negative news or going to people that discourage you. Instead, keep listening to the word of God and the people who will encourage you, by that, your fear will die.
Confession
Father, as I feed my faith I see my fear die in Jesus’ name.
