Description.
UK Gospel’s soulful singer and worship leader,
Sarah Téibo, announces the release of new visuals
for her collaboration with Gospel legend Fred
Hammond – ‘Like A Child – Remix’. This is the third
single to be released from her sophomore studio
album ‘Keep Walking’ released in 2018
The music video for the song produced by Luke
‘GKID’ Grant, was directed by veteran music video
director Uvi Orogun and shot simultaneously and
cross-continentally between Texas, US and
London, UK.
“Fred and I not only live in different time zones, but
also live very hectic lives – his more so than mine!
Synchronising diaries for shooting the video on
location was becoming a challenge, so we turned
our challenge into an opportunity and that was
literally the inspiration behind the concept for the
video” said Sarah.
The original song, ‘Like a Child featuring Jason
Nicholson-Porter and Tehillah Daniel’ was the first single released off the album in January 2018 and an instant hit. The remix version gives the song a playful, edgy, makeover, with Fred bringing a funky groove to
track. The music video has been premiered on terrestrial TV in over 10 countries in Africa (including Kenya,
Cameroon, Ivory Coast and Nigeria), across French speaking Caribbean islands, as well as in the UK and
Europe.
About working with Fred, Sarah said, “it has been a dream come true to work with Fred. He is one of my
music icons so for him to feature with me on a song I wrote is just surreal. ‘Like A Child’ is one of my
favourite songs on the album but Fred adding his flair and creativity to it has just taken it to another level.”
‘Like A Child remix’ is available to view on YouTube and for streaming and download from all digital music

Wife. Mother. Worship Leader. Songwriter. Author.
2 albums. Official Charts Top 3 Album. 5 UKCC Top 10 Tracks. 1 MOBO nomination. 2 Premier Gospel Award wins
Sarah Téibo has been pushing the boundaries since her entry into the UK Gospel scene late 2015 with her debut single ‘Steal My Joy’, which was quickly followed by her debut album ‘Walk With Me’ unveiled at London’s 606 Jazz Club in May 2016. This bagged her a MOBO nomination for Best Gospel in the same year and the gong for Best Album 2017 at the prestigious Premier Gospel Awards, UK
Following her breakout debut release, Sarah has travelled the UK, Europe and Africa captivating audiences with her live performances in festivals, gospel events, conferences, as well as selling out her own headline gigs at London’s Hard Rock Cafe twice in 2017. In addition to collaborating with fellow UK Gospel heavy weights including MOBO winners Triple O, Lurine Cato and Volney Morgan & New Ye, she has also worked alongside some American Gospel icons such as Charles Jenkins, The Walls Group, Daniel Johnson, as well as Lisa McClendon and Fred Hammond who both feature on her sophomore album ‘Keep Walking’.
Sarah’s love for music was highly influenced by her parents’ taste in music and their rich vinyl collection which featured amongst others, Soul and R&B legends like Stevie Wonder and Diana Ross. She grew up listening to these phenomenal artists and recalls memories of singing along to Marvin Gaye with her mom.
Through tumultuous experiences in her early teenage years where her family was faced with eviction and homelessness, Sarah learnt the importance of faith in God and started writing music to express both her fears and her faith. These proved a great source of strength through the most trying of times.
On her second full-length album, Sarah demonstrates her growth and versatility through such songs as the album title track, ‘Keep Walking’, which is a beautiful, melodic ballad encouraging the listener to keep going in-spite of setbacks. Incorporating her strong Motown influences coupled with her love for live instruments ‘Keep Walking’ features a live harp which gives the singer’s soulful sound a classical overture. ‘Blessed’ is an energetic, vibrant Afrobeat Summer track featuring the UK’s Muyiwa and Andrew Bello. Recorded in the midst of Sarah’s grief following the loss of her mother, the message of the song is simply to remember to count your blessings; even when things appear bleak we can find something to celebrate. Instant hit, ‘Like a Child featuring Jason Nicholson-Porter and Tehillah Daniel’ was the first single released off the album in January 2018. The remix version gives the song a playful, edgy, funk makeover featuring Gospel mega-star, Fred Hammond.
‘Keep Walking’, which was unveiled with a sold out gig at London’s Pizza Express Live Music Venue on 29th June 2018 went straight to number 3 on the Official Christian & Gospel charts days after its release, breaking the record for the highest charting independent Gospel (non-rap) artist on the Official Charts and first female artist to enter the charts. It is now available for download and streaming on all major online music stores here – http://smarturl.it/keepwalkingalbum
Sarah, who is also author of the book ‘Sex Interrupted’ a biblical guide to sex and relationships for young people, recently returned from a world tour in South Africa, Cyprus, Nigeria and Australia promoting her new album. She is married with two daughters and attends Kings Church London – a member of the New Frontiers family of churches – where she also serves as a Worship Leader and in the Children’s Work
