“For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for? But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it” (Romans 8:24, 25).
When we place our hope in Jesus, this hope is with total certainty and no doubt. We accept by faith the promises found in the Scriptures, regardless of what we see around us. Hoping and believing in what we don’t see is the essence of faith, which justifies us. Doing this also develops the spiritual endurance and perseverance we need.
