He who is often rebuked, and hardens his neck, will suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy” (Proverbs 29:1, NKJV).
Just like our earthly parents, God chastises, corrects, and guides us through His Holy Spirit. When we’re wise enough to listen, His guidance will save our lives. But if we choose to repeatedly ignore what He tells us, we move ourselves out from under His protective covenant with us.
