“For whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted” (Luke 14:11, NKJV).
Putting others first may not be the popular thing to do in the world, but it’s something we’re commanded to do as Christians walking in Jesus’ footsteps. During His ministry, Jesus told the parable of the guest at the wedding feast to challenge the Pharisees, because He knew that maintaining the status quo was more important to them than walking in love.
